There are times in this life when you are tempted to ask the question, “How are we going to do this?” This question can come up with both big and small items. This is a good and honest question to ask at times.

Recently, I had this question come up in my mind concerning an issue in our home. Our two younger boys had outgrown the bunkbeds that they had in their room. You got to love how boys grow at incredible rates.

We knew that the need was there. We knew that God had provided the money for the new purchase as well. The issue was how was it all going to come together? We found two beds that would meet our needs almost perfectly. The size was right. The price was right. We set out to make the purchase and have them delivered to our home. When I went to make the purchase, it just so happened that the beds that we were looking to purchase went “out of stock” before I could finalize the purchase.

I admit that I was a little frustrated as these bed sets seemed perfect for our need. They were just there, but when I went to purchase, they were gone. I knew that we were heading back to the drawing board. Everything that we were looking at was going to cost twice as much as we first intended to pay. Frustration.

It was about that moment that my wife looked on Facebook marketplace in our area. Wouldn’t you know that at that moment, a family in a neighboring town had just placed two beds with storage on the market… for half the price that we were thinking that we’d have to spend. I sent a message and made arrangements to go and check them out. As I arrived, I found exactly what we were needing.

This event reminded me of the truth that our Heavenly Father knows where we are and exactly what we need. I share this truth frequently as a preach and teach His word on a weekly basis. There are times though when even I need reminding of just how true it is.

Therefore I tell you: Don’t worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food and the body more than clothing? Consider the birds of the sky: They don’t sow or reap or gather into barns, yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you worth more than they?

Matthew 6:25-26 (CSB)

No matter who you are or where you may find yourself at this moment, know this: you have not escaped the view of the Heavenly Father. He knows right where you are and what you need. Even more than that, He knows where you need to be and how to get you there. Trust and follow His leading. He cares for you more than you know.
